The Hot Chick is an American comedy film about Jessica Spencer (Rachel McAdams), a popular high school girl who loves to make fun of other people who she thinks are losers. One day, when she goes shopping with her best friends, she buys a pair of African-themed ancient earrings and tries them on when she fills the fuel. Meanwhile, a criminal, Clive (Rob Schneider), who just robbed a mini market nearby and is mistaken as an employee by Jessica and friends. Jessica accidentally drops one of the earrings on the ground, and Clive picks it up after the girls drive away. That evening, Jessica and Clive put on their earrings, and when they wake up the next morning, each of them is trapped in the other's body. This is especially difficult for Jessica, who has a cheerleading competition and the school prom coming up soon, and at first difficult, Jessica convinces her best friends of her true identity.

The girls then suspect people whom have been made fun of by Jessica, and end up apologizing to them and get help from them. They then figure out it is about the earrings and get explanation from the shopkeeper. The earrings belonged to an Abyssinian princess who uses the enchanted earrings to escape an arranged marriage by swapping bodies with her slave girl. The only way to get back into the real body, they have to bring the earrings back together. It is a hard work to get the earrings back, and takes a lot of time as well. Jessica gets a lot of problems due to her condition, but eventually, she gets everything under control.

It's a creative comedy movie. So hilarious! I love the idea and plot. It caused no curiosity in me, but I quite enjoyed it. Such an entertaining. The casts are truly talented. Big applause to them, especially Rob and Rachel. Boy, it must be a real challenge for them. One question, though, how on earth the earrings get stranded to the ground? Jessica is trying them on in the car, like, holding them with her hands! It just doesn't make sense for me. I don't know. Well, it's not bad, but not my favorite, as well, so yeah, 3.5.
